| My personality: |
I am a writer and a musician, currently working on a novel that
still needs a lot of work, and on publishing a huge stack of
poetry, both of which will probably take forever. I work in Process
Improvement (doing... you guessed it... improvement of processes!
haha!) at Wing Memorial Hospital. I love what I do, even though I
have to wear a tie everyday. I hope to someday move to Hawaii or
Spain, not sure which would be better. I am forever thinking, and
forever curious. I live to love, to help, and to listen. Tell me
anything, and I will never tell a soul. I am patient, gentle, and
generous with my time, money, and self. You might call me
old-fashioned, but I believe that a relationship should be held
sacred, both partners should respect and cherish the other, and
there should be an equal footing for both. I don't believe anyone
should own another human being, regardless of how deep the feelings
run. Just because I love a person doesn't mean I can take their
freedoms, and vice versa. I feel like too many people think they
can walk into a relationship and just take charge and say, "Here
are the things you are no longer able to do, just because I don't
like it." It just doesn't sit well with me. I have this funny thing
called RESPECT, and until you give me a reason to not respect you,
I will abide by it. I am probably the most patient person I know,
and on somedays, impatient people just make me smile, and on
others, they drive me up a wall. I am an interesting individual,
full of obscure knowledge, like the fact that the term POSH is an
acronym (Post Out, Starboard Home... refers to Victorian era
trans-Atlantic boat trips, so the ladies wouldn't burn in the sun
while lounging on the decks). I have no idea why I would ever need
to know that, but there you have it. I am fanatic about proper
spelling, and, coincidentally, pretty damn good at Scrabble. I
really like obscure words (like "bildungsroman"). I am currently
growing y hair out until it's long enough to donate to Wigs for
Kids (NEVER Locks of Love...they charge the cancer patients for the
wigs!!! You call that love?!? Have you ever seen a bill for cancer
medications?) and this will be my second time donating. The first
time I had 15" cut off! It was pretty awesome to cut it off after 4
years.
